Privacy Policy

Effective August 2, 2026

In short: PantryPilot requires no account, shows no ads, and does not track you. Pantry items, dates, notes, settings, and reminder choices stay on your device.

Camera and scanning

The camera is used only when you choose to scan a barcode or printed expiry date. Camera images are processed on the device and are not uploaded or retained by PantryPilot.

Product lookup

A numeric barcode may be sent to the public Open Food Facts service to retrieve a product name. PantryPilot does not send your name, email address, expiry date, notes, camera image, or advertising identifier. Open Food Facts operates independently under its own privacy policy.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, PantryPilot schedules expiry reminders locally. You can disable them inside PantryPilot or in iOS Settings.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple. PantryPilot reads only the StoreKit entitlement required to determine whether Premium is active.

Deletion and choices

Use Settings > Delete all local data to remove saved products, history, settings, and planned reminders. You can also delete the app.
